Who Can Benefit

Anyone seeking healing, growth, and transformation (children, teens, adults, seniors). You do not need to have experience or training in the arts.  In fact, sometimes this can get in the way of authentic expression, as the client then needs to learn to let go of expectations and focus on the process, not the quality of the product. 

Common reasons that bring people to Expressive Arts Therapy are:

  • problems with self-expression, self-esteem, self-criticism

  • desire to relate to self and/or others in healthier ways

  • behavioural issues

  • problematic habits

  • life crisis (emotional, relationship or health-related,  financial, etc.)

  • difficulty making decision(s)

  • trauma and PTSD

  • problems with addictions

  • desire to improve mental health (mood, depression, anxiety, anger, etc)

  • personal growth, self-discovery, search for more meaning in life

  • desire to re-awaken creativity, explore art, and become more playful
